Criminal Defense attorney, Vic Wiegand, Esq. was admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 1997, after obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University. His emphasis has been in the area of criminal defense law. Vic Wiegand, Esq. has practiced law for over 25 years and won multiple jury trials in multiple jurisdictions.
He established the Law Office of Vic Wiegand, Esq. to handle all types of criminal charges from simple driver’s license issues to the most serious and complex felony cases. His practice in Cumming is a full-service criminal defense law practice, with 100% of the practice dedicated to litigation. A lifelong resident of Georgia, he attended Walton High School in Marietta and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1992 with a degree in Political Science. As a Cumming Criminal Defense attorney, he defends the rights of his clients and works for the best outcome possible.
Legal Accomplishments
- He been a member of the Forsyth County Bar Association since 1998
- He was admitted to the Georgia Court of Appeals in 2000 where he has successfully reversed the trial court and won.
- In 2001 he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Georgia where he has filed for certiorari. Parties who are not satisfied with the decision of a lower court may petition the Supreme Court to hear their case by means of a writ of certiorari.
- He was admitted to the U.S. Federal District Court in 2002 and has handled both criminal and civil matters in federal court.
- He is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court and is in an attorney in good standing.
- He is a Founding Member of the Forsyth County Criminal Defense Bar
On a personal note, he is a former State of Georgia Judo Champion and licensed SCUBA diver. He attends and volunteers at his local church regularly and enjoys golfing.
